Description

This is my original “Morning Winter Light, Wheal Coates”. When it snows here in Cornwall it is truly a magical experience, unfortunately it doesn’t happen very often but when it does It’s like going back to childhood and all the excitement it conjures but these days I’m armed with a camera not a toboggan 🙁

On this particular morning id been up since sunrise on top of St.Agnes Beacon and then ventured, running with backpack & camera gear, to capture the rest of the morning light at Chapel Porth & Wheal Coates. With the sun being lower in the sky during winter it is often the case to be patient with the little coves or they are just too consumed by shadows, this particular moment worked out great as the sun rose higher the shadows lessened and the light bathed the land.

The image of this original may vary from computer screen to computer screen but I’ve done my best to show it as the original

I hand prep each of my canvases which involves 4 layers of Gesso with sanding in between each layer

The Acrylics I use, ‘Golden’ & Liquitex’ are all of Artists quality and meet the industry ATSM lightfastness standards

It is framed with a lovely Ash wood moulding with a light Liming, the mount used is Peterboro Glacier White Conservation on top of an extra deep matching wood fillet, it really sets it off well.

The size of the image of this original is 241mm x 521mm approx and framed it measures 425 x 700mm

THIS ORIGINAL IS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH COLLECTION FROM THE GALLEY DUE TO ITS SIZE AND THE RISK OF GLASS BREAKAGE IN POSTING IT
