Towards Hill of Swallows, Bodmin Moor

An Original Acrylic on Canvas painting on hand sanded Canvas board

Description

The Hill of Swallows or Brown Willy as its also known is Cornwall’s highest point & this location has become one of my favourites to visit. Not least because it takes a good 45 min hike across the moors just to reach this very remote spot, on this particular trip I had quite an eventful run-in with a herd of cattle which resulted in a bruised leg and frayed nerves ! In trying to capture some of its rugged beauty I find evening time before the sun sets behind Garrow Tor a very beautiful time, peace and tranquility descends on the area and the sound of silence is deafening, a real treat for the senses.

This Original will be sent unframed due to the size & risk of glass breakage, it is currently available framed in the gallery for £1350.00.
