This is “Bluebell Twilight, Stippy Stappy”, an Acrylic on Canvas Painting. Painting Stippy Stappy is always a challenge, in recent years I’ve undertaken works based around Twilight, somehow it seems to suit it. This has really tested me, just getting the reference at Twilight is a challenge alone, you only have around 10-15mins to capture what you need before the last remaining light fades away.
The degree of complexity from start to finish meant some long intense days getting right into the details, the final area was the foreground which is one of the most complex I’ve ever done & I’ve never painted Bluebells in such abundance before so after some adjustments getting it balanced right I’m really happy with the final painting.
