An Original Landscape Painting. This new Painting is titled “Winter Shadows, Chapel Porth”. Painting snow is as always tricky as the light can do all sorts of the things to the colour of snow, especially early morning light.
This particular snowfall I’d captured quite a few locations as i’d been stranded in the snow the evening before, luckily my parents live in the village and I was able to hike back to theres to spend the night ready for an early start.
In my haste to leave home the evening before, as it was a last minute decision, id totally put the wrong footwear on so by the time i’d arrived down at Chapel Porth after hiking over the Beacon my feet were what you could call slightly wet, but as I always say in such situations, ignore the discomfort and capture the moment.
