The Stiles of West Penwith are such amazing structures they really are a must see if you are ever in that part of the world, being slightly more inland than the main coastal footpath they are often overlooked, but each one is so unique and this particular stretch of footpaths has over 60 of various designs. This one is located near Zennor and was captured during one sunny morning during March in which I must have walked miles, certainly a good workout when you count how many stiles you have to climb over !
We had a relatively mild and dry winter which seems to have really helped the Gorse, the colour and freshness of it this year has been amazing but being the first time ive painted it I found it really challenging, its location in this painitng I liked as a strong contrasting focal point along with the Granite Stile.
