Description

“May Light, Chapel Porth” is a Painting of a view of Chapel Porth I haven’t Painted for a while as I normally look the other way towards Wheal Coates. Its a very challenging view at Sunset because the hill, known as Mulgram Hill is in shadow so it makes it very tricky to know whether you have the tone right before moving onto the foreground areas.

The foreground is one of the hardest areas I’ve ever painted, so much detail, so many little rocks & multiple light & tonal changes from left to right made it one of the most challenging ever i’ve undertaken but after lots of patience & perseverance I’ve achieved what I had intended in terms of my vision for its overall balance & being a view i’ve not Painted for a while, its nice to have tackled it with more years of experience.

The Original Painting will be framed using an Ash frame, a deep bevel mount & Larson Juhl Conservation Mountboard. The Glass is special “Tru-Vue Ultra view” which properties include enhanced UV protection, enhanced clarity & Anti-reflective properties.

The image size is 355 x 767mm & the total framed area is approximately 575 x 980mm
