An Acrylic on Canvas Painting

Description

This was a location I stumbled upon a bit by accident while exploring Bodmin Moor. To find Stiles I usually check my OS maps for footpaths that go through field systems, while its not a guarantee its usually worth an explore. I parked up thinking of walking in one direction & then spotted one stile in the far corner of a hedge away from the road & decided to go take a look, it looked too overgrown but found my way through & one Stile led to another & about 3-4 in I came across this one, its always worth looking back the way you came as it looked a real beauty with lots of elements I like, Hawthorn, a view & an interesting structure to the Stile 🙂

It took 2-3 visits to get what I wanted as the sunlight only hit it at a certain period of day, Stiles are like that, often in shaded corners or deep down so they’re usually not suitable for sunrises & sunsets but the way the light was dappling over the different textures I really liked.

I decided on a shape for the Painting that would include the height of the Hawthorn, which was towering pretty high so I think the composition /shape really suits it.

The image size of “Emblance Downs” is 263mm x 461mm & framed (inc Moulding) is approx. 450mm x 640mm.

It is framed using Tru Vue Ultra Vue glass, enhanced clarity, UV protection & ant-refelcection. The frame is Ash with a deep bevel inner & Larson Juhl Conservation level Mountboard.

Due to risk of glass breakage, currently it is only available to collect from the Gallery however I do have a specialist Art courier who deliveries art work all over the uk, this is usually done in either a north trip or southern area trip, so it depends which area they are visiting at the time or ordering, the price for this service starts around ÂŁ100.
