Just imagine…..sitting on the woodland floor taking in the spirit of what surrounds you and then you here the drumming of the woodpecker. Is it the greater spotted or the green? you seek out the colours hoping for that glimpse of this beautifully unique bird that is so specialised for the habitat that you are now sat within. This piece is taken from the tail feather she of the Green Woodpecker and I have stamped in the various leaves as well as having cut out and soldered on a tiny Oak leaf with gold a details. this is a very unique shape and is one of the larger feathers that I make.
