Two new Stile Paintings

I have just completed the largest Stile painting I have ever done, at nearly half a metre square it was certainly a challenge, getting the balance right with the tones of light and dark was tricky but I’m really pleased with how it has turned out, there is further information on my “originals” page.

Prior to this piece I have also completed my first ever Stile painting in the snow, from the same location as the large square painting, and one of my favourite locations whatever time of year. More information on my “Originals” page.

I am currently working on another large square format painting of Mousehole, this one involves lots of tricky reflections in water, I haven’t worked out how i’m going to attempt it yet but I like the challenge and hopefully by the time I reach it I’ll have come up with a plan of action ๐Ÿ™‚

New Original Acrylic Painting “Pathway & Stile from Zennor, west Penwith” by Gary Hall

I Have just completed this Original today, I have now stored it away and will not look at it till next week, I like to do this with my work as fresh eyes often reveals very subtle things I havent noticed that may need adjusting. Once i’m happy that it is finished then I will be uploading it to my ‘Originals’ page.

With all the wonderful weather we have recently been having it coincided with the Blackthorn coming into bloom which was looking absolutely spectacular ,so I had a very early 5am start last Sunday to capture it around the West Penwith area and its amazing Stiles, it doesnt stay at its peak for very long as the white flowers are quite delicate but I managed to get some really lovely reference so watch this space for future works ๐Ÿ™‚

New Painting “Winter Shadows, Chapel Porth”

Well, i’ve just finished a new original after completing some Commissions so its nice to be creating new landscapes again. This one is titled “Winter Shadows, Chapel Porth”. Painting snow is as always tricky as the light can do all sorts of the things to the colour of snow, especially earling morning light, i’ll be uploading it to my originals section very soon as having only just the minute completed it i’ve yet to finalise a price, at this point im not sure whether i’ll be having prints produced or staying as just an original, any queries please feel free to contact me.
