Description

Here is my first Painting of Daffodils overlooking Stippy Stappy. Having Painted Stippy Stappy many times this was also a new angle so it was nice to paint it from a different viewpoint. Having never painted Daffodils before it was certainly a very in-depth section to undertake, my brain was a bit frazzled by the end of each day.

This was a view featuring Daffodils I’ve been wanting to paint for ages so it was nice to finally undertake it, it took many location visits to get the right lighting condition, the Daffodils here usually appear in March though I have seen some pop out in February so it was something I had to keep an eye on. This particular morning was one of those early warm Spring days with cloudless skies, a sure sign the bad weather of winter is hopefully behind us.

This size of this original is a new shape/size for me, it is the same as my “First light, Zawn Trevilley” but slightly reduced in size.

The image size is 350 x 459mm

This original will be framed in my usually way with originals, using an Ash frame, a deep bevel fillet & Tru-View Ultra view glass which has enhanced clarity, anti-reflection properties & UV protection

The framed size is approx. 520 x 629mm
